Starting on your journey of Botox injections can be an exciting step towards a refreshed, youthful appearance. To make the most of your appointment - consider the following guide that covers the before, during, and after aspects of the treatment.

1. Prepare with a Clean Face: Ideally, arrive with a clean face for your Botox appointment. Regardless, the area will be thoroughly cleaned before injecting, and make-up can be removed here too if required.
2. Avoid Alcohol 24 Hours      Prior: Minimize the risk of bruising by      abstaining from alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment.
3. Define Your Goals: If it's your first Botox appointment, take a moment to reflect on      your goals and concerns. This information will be important during the      consultation to address your specific needs.

1. Photographs : Before the injections, photographs of your face in a relaxed      expression and while using the muscles targeted for treatment will be      taken. These serve as essential references for your medical record and      will not be shared without explicit consent.
2. Marking Up Injection      Points: Your practitioner will mark the      injection points using either an eyeliner or facial marker. For foreheads,      expect 5-15 injections, frown lines typically require 3-5 Botox injections      and eyes typically receive 2-3 injections on each side.
3. Needle Comfort: The injection needle is incredibly small, and most individuals      find the process comfortable—often likening it to a hair being plucked      rather than a traditional injection.

1. How it Will Look Straight After: Expect some redness and bumpiness on your face, typically      resolving within 30 minutes. 
2. Use the muscles straight away: Exercise the treated muscles for the first 15-20 minutes to help      the Botox work quicker.
3. Avoid Ice: Refrain from using ice on the treated area, as this can reduce the      uptake of Botox.
4. Post-Procedure Care:
   • No Touching or Makeup for       4 Hours: Avoid touching the       injection sites and refrain from applying makeup for the first 4 hours.       If makeup is necessary immediately, inform your practitioner to use a       product that seals the injection sites.
   • Alcohol and Intense       Exercise: Minimize the risk of       bruising by avoiding alcohol and intense exercise for the first 24 hours.

1. Timeline for Results: Effects typically start becoming noticeable around day 5, with      full results apparent after 14 days.
2. Review appointments: Fine-tuning may be necessary at the 2-week mark to address any      asymmetry or isolated areas of muscle movement.
