No, lip filler is not permanent. It uses hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring salt, to add volume. The body naturally breaks this down over 6-12 months, but can take longer than this.
Dr. Hennessy prides herself on her ability to resolve issues with lip fillers carried out by other practitioners. Reasons you may want to do this include filler migration (where filler has spread above the pink lip), if you are unhappy with your lips after a lip filler treatment or if your filler hasn't fully gone away naturally.
It is common and normal for people to contact Dr. Siân for help to get their lips dissolved. She can help you to dissolve away any issues and re-fill in a natural way that you love.
We use the dissolving agent: hyalase. This is an enzyme which breaks down the filler product.
This is injected into the lips and then massaged.
Swelling immediately after can be significant in some cases.
This procedure costs £150 and includes the use of a dental anaesthetic
This procedure is more painful than lip filler due to the amount of dissolving agent being injected, and the firm massage that is required. Of course it can be done without, but will be less comfortable.
